About Steel Horse Tours

Steel Horse Tours started a long time ago when a couple of riders were sitting around on a bench "telling" stories about their adventures.

Common to these stories was everyone's love for riding. Didn't matter where they went, as long as, they were riding. When someone asked, "Why did you go there?" They'd answer, "Because we'd never been there before."

Steel Horse Tours isn't about making money, doing Iron Butt style rides (though some of us on the bench are members of the Iron Butt community), or hanging around crowded bike events (though most of us have done that). What we are about is giving you a chance to experience the open road, getting a few stories, and being able to share those stories with others. Hopefully, this motivates others to ride.

While we were writing this, someone picked up a map and asked if we'd ever been to Dunken, New Mexico, Nutbush, Virginia, or Christmas Valley, Oregon?

Hmmmm, can't say I have. Looks like a reason to go riding.

Some folks call it wanderlust, others say we're "nuts", my mom just says we have "Gypsy blood". Whatever you call it, Steel Horse Tours hopes to get you wondering what's over the next hill or around the next bend.

What do you get for all the effort?

If you're lucky, a great story and the rights to sit on the bench. What more could you ask for?
